フロリダウォルト・ディズニー・ワールド・リゾートに5月27日オープン予定の「パンドラ：ザ・ワールド・オブ・アバター」をジェームズ・キャメロン監督が紹介！

Googleマップ上では、ただの森にしか見えない「フロリダ　ウォルト・ディズニー・ワールド・リゾート」。

ここに5月27日に「パンドラ：ザ・ワールド・オブ・アバター（Pandora: The World of AVATAR）」がオープン予定ですが、2018年以降から連続４作品公開予定のアバターを製作中のジェームズ・キャメロン監督自らが、ウーピー・ゴールドバーグを案内するツアー映像が公開されました。

20世紀FOXなのですが、ディズニーにこういうモノが作られ、個人的には嫌な感じがしますが、それよりも昨年公開された２～５の公開時期が延びたようです。

ジェームズ・キャメロン監督曰く…

“Well, 2018 is not happening. We haven’t announced a firm release date. What people have to understand is that this is a cadence of releases. So we’re not making Avatar 2, we’re making Avatar 2, 3, 4, and 5. It’s an epic undertaking. It’s not unlike building the Three Gorges dam.”

（そうだね、2018年封切りはない。ぼくたちはまだ、「アバター 2」の封切り日を発表してはいないよ。
みんなに理解してほしいのは、「アバター」シリーズはリズミカルに連続して封切られるということなんだ。つまり、ぼくたちは続編の「アバター 2」だけを作っているのではなくて、さらに先の「3」、「4」、「5」もあわせて製作する。とんでもない大仕事なんだ。あの三峡ダム(1993年着工、2009年完成の世界最大の水力発電ダム)を作るのと大して変わらないよ…！！）

“So I know where I’m going to be for the next eight years of my life. It’s not an unreasonable time frame if you think about it. It took us four-and-a-half years to make one movie and now we’re making four. We’re full tilt boogie right now. This is my day job and pretty soon we’ll be 24-7. We’re pretty well designed on all our creatures and sets. It’s pretty exciting stuff. I wish I could share with the world. But we have to preserve a certain amount of showmanship and we’re going to draw that curtain when the time is right.”

（ぼくは自分が、これからの8年間の人生をどう過ごすことになるのか、充分にわかっている。考えようによれば、8年間という長い期間は、けして無茶なものではない。たった1本の映画を作るのに、ぼくたちは約4年半もの時間を費やしたりするのに、4本もの映画を仕上げてしまうんだよ！！、だから、ぼくたちは、そのゴールに向けて、これ以上はないほどに全身全霊を傾けている！！、ぼくは「アバター」シリーズを定職にして、就職したのも同然なんだ。勤務時間は、じきに24時間営業の年中無休になってしまう…！！）
